In depth

Verdict

Edward O'Grady has won two of the last four renewals and TORPHICHEN can make it three on his chasing debut. Twice a winner over timber for David Pipe, he landed a Listed race for new connections at Naas last December and will have been well schooled for his first start over the bigger obstacles. Kennel Bridge won a bumper and scored twice over timber and has done best of those here with experience over fences. He has jumped well on both start over 2m4f though giving the impression that a longer trip would suit. Some Target is definitely one for the short-list as Willie Mullins' bumper and hurdles winner made a fine debut over fences at Ballinrobe in May and has been given a nice break in preparation for his new career.
