Prove The Point is effective from 6f to a mile and has already won off this mark this season so has to go on the short-list. Tom Dooley is pretty consistent but could find conditions too testing today. Count Of Carabass is another who rarely runs a bad race and he wasn’t winning out of turn at Listowel but FAIR GAME’s turn may have come around again if she can replicate her latest second at Roscommon off a 2lb higher mark. Harry Speed won at Ayr in August and was then second at Down Royal but is possibly a few pounds too high now. Compass Hill has run well in both starts for a new yard but needs some help from the handicapper.
