Pires is better over fences these days though his last victory came over hurdles on fast ground. Crafty Codger made a successful debut over hurdles at Punchestown in November then couldn't handle the step up to Grade 2 company at Leopardstown. He hasn't been in the best of form on the Flat recently so this can go to VALYSSA MONTERG. Willie Mullins' mare won three bumpers in France and scored over timber for new connections at Tramore in December. She jumped poorly when pulled up at Cork in January but her trainer will have ironed out her faults and she looks a nice prospect. Queen Alphabet has been in excellent form in strong company and will make a bold bid with Jack Kennedy's claim a massive plus.
