Aidan O'Brien has won four of the last ten and has a quartet of entries this time around. Bound has yet to win but looked as though she was still improving when runner-up to Calare at this level at the Curragh last time when Queen Anne's Lace and her stable companion Butterflies were behind. Diodorus and Galilean also represent Ballydoyle but both will need to find another gear in this company though the latter was impressive in a nursery last time. Percy couldn't handle Group 3 company after his Killarney maiden victory but Saltonstall hails from a yard going well and should be considered. Jim Bolger has won the last two renewals and a chance is taken that DUBAI SAND can find the necessary improvement to complete a stable hat-trick. He didn't get anything like the run of the race in a maiden won by Grandee at the Curragh and with more progress to come he can go one better.
