In depth

Verdict

Up to last year ,Aidan O'Brien had won this eight times in succession and should get back on track with his two entries. Henry Adams beat a small field at Naas but Ryan Moore is on board MOUNTAIN BEAR and the Curragh winner may have found the ground too quick in the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket. Islandsinthestream, a €135,000 purchase, made an impressive debut when defying inexperience at the Curragh and will ensure the Ballydoyle pair don't have it all their own way. He holds Chicago Fireball on that run while Devious has run in two Group 2 races since a winning debut at Naas.
