Verdict
Winning bumper Vic Dancer made a promising comeback behind Railway Zara at Punchestown but the one to take from the event is WHY NOT THISTLE, who was having her first ever run and really caught the eye. She should improve and is handed the vote in a tricky opener. Back Before Dawn's best runs have been on quicker ground and she's well exposed but Ballychorus showed up nicely on her racecourse debut over timber at Navan so it was a surprise to see her in a Punchestown bumper three weeks later where she ran quite well. Painted Lady has got a few quirks but isn't devoid of ability though she'll probably do better over further while Circe's Island and Voice Of A Curlew both ran moderately last time.
