In depth

Verdict

Atlantic Coast was impressive when landing a Curragh maiden and ran a fine race behind Diego Velazquez in a Group 2 here last month. His stable also run Sluice, who had something in hand when landing a heavy-ground Down Royal maiden. Aidan O'Brien has won the last two of these and has a pair of entries. Military opened with an easy victory at Naas and didn't appear to handle fast ground in a Newmarket Group 3 next time so today's conditions should suit and he's preferred to The Caribbean. INSTANT APPEAL was placed behind Deepone and City Of Troy in his first two races before landing a Gowran maiden in good style. With his yard in such good form, he can make the necessary progress to take this.
