Willie Mullins has won the last two of these so it's not surprising he has two entries this time. Buildmeupbuttercup, runner-up in the Ascot Stakes over 2m4f, subsequently landed a Galway maiden over this trip with the greatest of ease. Stable companion Nessun Dorma won a handicap on the latter track last summer and, though unraced since November, won't fail through lack of fitness. Trossachs completed a hat-trick in mid-summer and is the only course and distance winner in the line-up, though is 13lb higher than his last victory. Eminence and Barbados represent Ballydoyle and Ryan Moore rides the former, who appeared to find 1m6f testing his stamina in the Melrose at York. One Cool Poet completed a unique handicap hat-trick at the Galway Festival, the latest of them in emphatic style, though a 12lb rise makes this much more difficult. UK raider Machine Learner won from this mark at Ascot last summer though may need a bit further so the vote goes to KASTASA, a typical Dermot Weld improver who looks on a fair mark on her hat-trick bid with Andrew Slattery's claim a huge bonus.
