In depth

Verdict

SOUTHERN LIGHTS went close over 7f at Naas on last year’s debut and the Derby entry will appreciate the step up in trip. King Of The Castle also ran at Naas when last in action but disappointed while stablemate Yarrawonga returned a beaten favourite at Cork in September. Hell Bent struggled in testing going at Navan on last month’s reappearance while Safari Quest and Henry The Fifth need to improve to figure. The latter’s stable companion Killaloan is a newcomer to note but Tazaral is more interesting as a half-brother to multiple Group 1 winner Tarnawa as Dermot Weld won this in 2019.
