This has been won by some smart performers over the years. Aidan O'Brien has won three of the last ten and Jim Bolger five. The former had five entered at the early stage and relies on MICHAELMAS, who cost over half-a-million dollars and is the first foal of a USA Grade 1 winner. He should be forward enough to make a winning start though Focus On Venice is out of a mare who won over 7f as a two-year-old and Bolger can do little wrong at present. Dermot Weld has his horses flying so Glory Boy has to be respected though his dam won over 1m4f. Fine Cut is a half-brother to six winners, most of them sprinters, and has more genuine pace in his pedigree than any of his rivals so must be one to watch.
