MEDAL OF HONOUR had to battle hard to see off Bond Street at the Curragh but that was his first run since December and with more to offer can defy his weight-rise. Bucky Larson's early summer double contained a course and distance victory and he didn't quite see out the 1m2f at the Curragh last time. Lethal Power was behind in that latter race but he'd scored over that trip Roscommon earlier. Theobald has run in two classics this season and though well beaten will find this less daunting but the remaining pair have a bit to find.
Theobald (IRE) 150-1 (9-0) Held up, 11th halfway, pushed along straight, soon no impression, last of 12, 12l behind Latrobe (9-0) at Curragh 1m 4f Grp 1 (1) gf in Jun.
Medal Of Honour 16-1 (9-7) Held up towards rear, headway on outer to challenge 2f out and edged right and soon on terms, led over 1f out, stayed on well, won at Curragh 1m hcp gf in May beating Bond Street (9-8) by 1 1/4l, 13 ran.
Bucky Larson (IRE) 5-1 (9-4) Waited with towards rear, pushed along straight, soon headway on outer to chase leaders, one pace final furlong, 3rd of 6, 4 3/4l behind Lucius Tiberius (9-12) at Curragh 1m 2f hcp gf in Jun.
War Hero (IRE) 16-1 (8-13) Soon prominent, on terms over 3f out, headed from 2f out, soon bumped and no impression, 11th of 13, 6 1/2l behind Red Avenger (8-7) at Curragh 7f hcp gf in Jul.
