In depth

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has a tremendous record in this and BROOME should enhance his Epsom claims. Only just beaten in a Group 1 at Longchamp in October, he was always more likely to do better in his second campaign and reappeared with a facile victory over stable companion Sovereign in the Ballysax here last month when Guaranteed wasn't suited by front-running and finished last. Another from Ballydoyle, Blenheim Palace, will need to step-up markedly from his victory in a Navan handicap. Buckhurst stayed on nicely to land a one mile maiden here last month but takes a big leap in grade as does Rakan from his impressive maiden victory here in October.
