In the last 20 renewals, only two have been drawn lower than nine which was the stall Zap, trained by Richard Fahey, won from in 2018. The Yorkshire-based handler saddles Tadleel here and he’s only 2lb higher than his last winning mark. Tom Dascombe sends Fools Rush In from Cheshire and he’s won five of his last seven and is well enough drawn. Three-year-olds have a good record and MASEN ticks all the boxes. Runner-up to Horoscope, who runs earlier, on his return from a long absence in a Killarney Listed contest last time, he might have been expected to run in a Pattern race on this card but Ger Lyons sends him here for his handicap debut and the move can pay off. Bucky Larson finished last in the race a year ago but that isn’t his form and he’s made amends with two subsequent victories while Blue For You didn’t handle soft ground at Galway and is better judged on his earlier victory over slightly further on this track. Bopedro was very impressive at the Curragh but is 9lb higher and drawn low which tempers enthusiasm.
