The going was very testing when CLAIOMH SOLAIS made her racecourse debut at the Curragh last month. Jim Bolger's superbly-bred filly started favourite in a big field and though running well she had no answer when Sapphire flashed past. Today's going should prove much better and she should again have the measure of third-placed Quest For Peace, though he's another who didn't enjoy the ground. Dermot Weld, who trained the winner, is represented by newcomers Mutasharef and Olympiad with preference just for the former. The fly in the ointment here could prove to be Sinntani, a son of Dalakhani who is a half-brother to numerous winners including the brilliant Sinndar.
