Luxembourg and Onesto were first and second last year though the ground was soft, which is unlikely to be the case here. The former's stablemate Auguste Rodin put a poor performance in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket behind him to run down KING OF STEEL in the Derby at Epsom but Roger Varian's charge easily reversed the form in the King George when the Ballydoyle colt again ran poorly. The Newmarket raider looks the safest option though Alflaila began his winning run in a Pontefract Listed contest and returned to Yorkshire to land the Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes so there's every possibility of further progress. Nashwa, a Group 1 winner over a mile, ran a fine race in the Juddmonte and isn't out of this.
