Geological is the only course and distance winner in the line-up though hasn't been in the best of form of late and the three-year-old SIRJACK THOMAS looks a more likely winner. Johnny Murtagh's charge was having just his second start for the yard when beating Betsey Trotter at Sligo and the runner-up can give the form a boost earlier on the card. Ice Cold In Alex is running very well and looks a big threat as he ran a fine race when just failing to concede Scoil Naisiunta 8lb at Naas after landing a handicap at the Curragh when Mayaadeen finished last. National Glory is very much on the upgrade as he showed in a Naas maiden while Mr Ormsby ran an excellent race behind Dance Alone here in June and Gavin Ryan's claim will again aid his cause.
