Salt Lake City, the only three-year-old in the line-up, looked one to follow when easily landing a Navan maiden and didn't run badly in the Futurity at Doncaster won by Auguste Rodin. Moon De Vega moved to Paddy Twomey and made an impressive debut for the yard at Gowran where she was always travelling like a winner. The ultra-consistent KERKIYRA won two tough handicaps over 1m2f at the Curragh last summer and was staying on in a Group 3 over a mile on her reappearance there when Flame Of Eire was well beaten. She'll need a fast gallop on this ground but will be staying on better than most so gets the nod.
