In depth

Verdict

Martin Brassil's horses are running well and Buddy Rich made a very promising debut for the yard at Punchestown in November 2019 but has only had two subsequent runs. CHAMPAGNE SPARKLES has had a couple of runs in bumpers but jumping will be his game as his dam is a full sister to Sire Du Berlais. Fama Et Gloria started favourite for a Thurles bumper in December but never really looked like winning and his former stable companion Gee Rex, four-times a winner on the Flat, looks to have much stronger claims after a very good second over the course and distance in December. Grand Bornand, a winning bumper in France, may not have enjoyed heavy ground in his two runs for Willie Mullins but has performed well enough to get into the frame again.
