Aared never seems to run a bad race. Qatari Hunter and Le Vagabond could give a boost to his recent form in the previous race and the top weight is one for the short-list. Plough Boy would have claims on his second at Listowel two runs ago as he was only beaten a head. Total Demolition only found one too good when attempting a hat-trick at Bellewstown and heavy going was a legitimate excuse that day. BEAT THE BALLOT was only beaten a neck by the in-form Mr Right at Naas last month when Mzuri was fourth. He was finishing best of all so the extra furlong here is a plus and Pat Smullen won on Tracey Collins' gelding at Leopardstown last summer. Valentana is still a maiden but lightly-raced and could justify each-way support if there is a decent gallop.
