Verdict

BOUNDLESS OCEAN wasn't beaten far in two Group 3's last season and was expected to make a winning reappearance at the Curragh but ran into a smart one in Malex. With that under his belt Jim Bolger's charge can go one better. Vega Magnifico cost 260,000gns and is a half-brother to eight winners. He needed the experience at Naas last summer and will be a different proposition this campaign, as will the Frankel colt Vintage Fame, who didn't enjoy heavy ground at Naas in October. Temple Of Artemis is another likely improver though the stable also run Newfoundland, a full-brother to dual Oaks winner Snowfall.
