Entoucas has been keeping good company and would have finished closer in a Grade A at Fairyhouse but for several mistakes. He finished seven lengths behind runner-up Pont Aven but can get closer with a better round of jumping. Aramax jumped very well to beat Port Stanley at Fairyhouse but there's little between them at the revised weights but Andalusa's two victories have come on good ground. Epson Du Houx has thrived in heavy conditions in recent weeks and landed a Naas handicap in easy fashion. He's up 13lb but the way he won suggests this higher grade event may not be beyond him. THE SHUNTER was sent to Cheltenham for the Greatwood Hurdle in November and duly obliged. He scored over fences earlier and a mark of 132 is probably underestimating his ability so he gets the nod.
