DR ZEMPF earned an official rating of 111 in his first campaign and is clear of the Ballydoyle trio. A comfortable winner at the Curragh on his debut, he finished a close second in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes on a return visit before finding fast ground against him in the Middle Park. Glounthaune, another Curragh debut winner, didn't get the best of runs in the Dewhurst before landing a Group 3 on this track with The Acropolis less than two lengths back in fifth, New Energy close behind in eighth after pulling hard and Howth well beaten. He ended the campaign in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf where he found firm going against him and looks best of his stable's entries. Mctigue, whose stable won this last year with the top-class Poetic Flare, landed a 1m maiden here before well beaten in the Futurity at Doncaster.
