In depth

Verdict

This looks a lot less competitive than the Grade 2 at Navan that DISCORDANTLY contested last time. He fell when holding every chance at Punchestown earlier having finished third at Thurles previously and can get off the mark over fences here with a clear round with jockey bookings suggesting he’s preferred to Hotel Du Nord. Dortmund Park won the Grade 1 Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown in 2018 but has not reproduced that form since and was well beaten on his fencing bow at Down Royal in November. The mare Half The Odds has displayed a measure of ability but probably needs more.
