Shumhookh can complete a hat-trick at the expense of Demon Docker, Scarlet Knight and and Abwaab. Shumookh has really appreciated the front-running tactics that have been utilised on each of his last two starts, the colt making all Nottingham and Pontefract. The son of Mujahid is a half-brother to the Oaks winner Eswarah, and therefore should have no trouble staying further in time. Indeed the softer ground today should bring his stamina into play, and he looks very much the one to beat. Demon Docker made a winning start on the all-weather in December, but has not added to that on Turf, while Scarlet Knight will be compromised by the ground conditions on past evidence. Abwaab should handle the conditions, but needs a step up in trip by the looks of it, and we have no hesitation in nominating Shumookh as the answer.
