Verdict

Jazz has gone close on several occasions, particularly when beaten less than a length in a Goodwood nursery in August. Nova Champ has also been knocking on the door but this will be the first time that Handwoven has encountered soft ground while Upholland has been a beaten favourite twice in modest company since showing promise on his debut at Goodwood. PENNY DROPS has much more scope than her rivals and is expected to gain compensation for an unlucky run behind the highly-rated Night Of Thunder at Goodwood, where she was slowly away and continually hampered when making up ground in the closing stages.
