SILVER SYMPHONY gains the narrow vote in this tough handicap, while both Excellent Day and Transfixed are others that warrant respect. The selection caught the eye after finishing a decent second at Thirsk last time out. That was the first time she had threatened the judge since breaking her maiden tag at Kempton last year. She has since dropped in the weights and she gets another chance to run off the same mark this time around and for that reason she is worth staying on the right side of. Excellent Day broke her maiden tag at Sandown last season holding high expectations for a promising career. She has been winless ever since, but having said that she is still only lightly raced and could enter the frame if anywhere near her best. Transfixed has been kept busy with fifty runs under her belt at the age of three. She is tough and has won six times to date, but the last of those wins came in November of last year. She has dropped in the ratings as a result and with the yard in good form she is worth noting in the betting market. Silver Symphony is the form horse in the race and looks the percentage call.
