In depth

Verdict

Ajaan, Sam Lord and Officer are the three to look out for in this race with the tenetive vote going to the last named. The selection has bottom weight running in his first handicap off a mark of seventy three. He comes from a top yard that are doing well at present and if able to take advantage of his light racing weight he has to hold a live chance. His three previous runs have been a little in and out but with experience now on his side he has to be noted. Ajaan was disappointing when sent off favourite on his seasonal reappearence at Sandown. His two runs last year caught the eye but now has to be treated with caution on his handicap debut. Sam Lord is visored for the first time after a fair few opportunities. He was good enough to win a maiden at Newmarket last year but has failed to show any real zest so far this year. So for the winner we return to Officer.
