Donjuan Triumphant was only third in this last year and may struggle to better that effort. Kimberella had no problem stepping up to 7f at Thirsk last week but won’t have a bend to rail around here. JALLOTA was placed in a Group 2 on his reappearance last year and won a Group 3 the year before. He easily beat Lahore in this grade at Redcar in October and is only a pound worse off so gets the nod though the lightly-raced Emmaus, who had Via Via behind when showing a smart turn of foot to win a handicap here in the autumn, looks more than capable of coping with the step up in class. Downforce has travelled over from Ireland and has some useful form to his name but has already run three times this month.
