In depth
Verdict
Godolphin will now look to build on an excellent Royal Ascot and unveil a son of Dark Angel here in Jazirat. The market will prove instructive as to stable expectations but it's worth noting he's already been gelded and sports a hood on debut, suggesting he's hitherto not been the most straightforward. Maksab received a pleasing education on his Newmarket debut and seems sure to improve, likewise Rhosneigr who finished in midfield here first time. FALMOUTH LIGHT (NAP) looked green but still proved strong enough to land a Sandown maiden which featured some nicely-bred sorts and is taken to back up that success for the in-form Johnston team under his penalty.
