In depth

Verdict

Soft ground and a pair of blinkers saw Harrison George return to form at Nottingham but conditions will be a lot faster here and it remains to be seen if the headgear has the same effect a second time. Fanrouge has picked up a penalty for a narrow win at Warwick but can't be ignored while Elusive Flame and L'Ami Louis would enter the equation if rediscovering their best form but NOVERRE TO GO showed he was no back number when winning a competitive affair on similar going at York 12 days ago and can overcome a 2lb higher mark. Apollo D'Negro is preferred to Yarmouth second Piazza San Pietro of the others.
