Verdict

Ascot Day seems best when asked to race prominently and arrives on the back of a recent doughty success at Chepstow. With conditions to suit he should go well again, only been upped 4lb for that success. Albert Boy solid and reliable, continued in that vein when returning from a 221-day break the last day when a pleasing second at Doncaster over this trip and ground and seems sure to be in the shake-up. Smiley Bagel has a first run for a new yard so check the market but BROAD APPEAL is preferred in a open race. He handles trip and ground well and made a more than satisfactory reappearance when runner-up at Windsor under today's useful apprentice. He can go one better.
