Verdict

Rewayaat is the only one of these with racecourse experience and, while open to improvement, she is likely to find at least one too good with David Loder's Catstar getting the vote over Rio de Jumeirah. Loder has introduced some nice juveniles already and it will come as no surprise if this daughter of Storm Cat does not prove up to making a winning debut and give the Newmarket-based handler another two-year-old winner. Rio de Jumeirah is a half-sister to, among others, Teggiano and Halawellfin Hala. She is bred to be useful but trainer Clive Brittain does not have a great strike-rate with his first time out two-year-olds and she is likely to need more time. Rewayaat was well held on her Nottingham debut behind Aces Diamond and, while she should have learnt from that experience, it will be a surprise if she is good enough to beat the selection. Paul Blockley has done well with his youngsters this term so Emhala has to be respected, while Striptease is likely to do better over further.
