      Verdict

      After missing the break, Great Esteem never looked like catching favourite Casanova at Wolverhampton but that was still a promising effort and he’ll know more today. Look Closely has already placed here and at Goodwood over 1m2f and should stay this longer trip on breeding. Isabella Brant is a bit more exposed but the Beckett filly has reached the frame in three of her five starts, including the last two. Mankayan and MONAAFASAH are both carrying a penalty. The former was beaten out of sight at Pontefract and has been gelded since but the latter shot clear of a subsequent winner at Bath in June and could go close to doubling her tally after a short break.
