Verdict

Del Mar Sunset looks to have solid claims in the finale, with Strathspey and Brandywine Bay others to consider. Del Mar Sunset has yet to win a race on turf but he looks as though he could be ready to take his turn and ran really well last month in defeat at Ripon. Stathspey is consistent and again is expected to go well, while Brandywine Bay ran well over a mile at Brighton earlier in the month and is interesting. That was her first attempt at the trip and she shaped encouragingly enough so could be worthy of consideration. Of the rest, Young Alex is proving hard to win with but is in good heart while the others would have to improve, but Del Mar Sunset looks ready to win a race on turf and is the tentative selection.
