Verdict
Cape Xenia is hard to assess as she's been running consistently in fair handicaps but now undertakes a career-first dropped to sprinting on her eighth start. A place on the shortlist is advisable. Lady Maesmor probably needed the run at Newbury and could be of interest at a decent price as she seems likely to progress and Dunnscotia and Lolita are both in solid enough form at present in ordinary sprint handicaps to get involved. However, John Gallagher is an adept handler of sprinters especially and his AMBER CRYSTAL still inhabits a fair mark, has a course and distance success to her name and has been delivering a solid account this term in 5f and 6f handicaps. She should do so once again in an open contest.
