Auld Burns won over a slightly shorter trip on his reappearance and was third in the Sandown Classic Trial on his next start. But he's rather gone off the boil, albeit on softer ground. Richard Hannon's gelding will probably start favourite here, however, but may struggle to give 9lb to FANNY MAY. Dennis Coakley's filly has also been highly tried throughout her career to date but will be all the better for her run behind easy winner Rumh at Newbury last month and should see out this slightly longer trip. Bussa won at Salisbury in May but looks set for third place on these terms.
