Verdict

Lynwood Gold won over an even longer trip on his debut so will be staying on when others have cried enough. But he has to carry a penalty against several equally unexposed rivals including MORNING WONDER. Kevin Ryan’s Dawn Approach colt was only beaten a neck by Codicil on his debut at Beverley and the winner has landed a couple of nurseries since and is still unbeaten. The 140,000 euros Cape Cross colt Future Score carries Godolphin’s first colours but James Doyle would presumably have had the pick and has chosen Charlie Appleby’s Setting Sail. Regal Director is a half-brother to the useful Sharja Queen and a newcomer to note along with the 70,000gns purchase Global Angel.
