This could be an active betting market as a number of these come into the race with fair claims on their recent form between the flags. The shortlist includes: Route One, who was has bundles of experience in this sort of grade but has a little to prove over this shorter trip, Stormy Sunrise, a former inmate of Edna Bolger's who, in contrast, should be suited by the drop in trip, and Parte Prima - an in-form gelding who will be hard to overhaul if his jumping holds together today. However, preference is for Jackie Jarvis, whose form in points has been of the highest order of late and he deserves a change of fortune now he reverts to regulation fences. The seven-year-old has a good turn of foot on his day and with doubts surrounding his main rivals, Jackie Jarvis could be too quick for a few of these if this develops into a dash for the line.
