      Verdict

      Though Wise Counsel was expected to take his chance at Haydock yesterday, he would have strong claims if turning up here instead despite only dead-heating at Sandown in June. PRINCESS POWER is a viable alternative as she continues to run well and finished ahead of Aplomb last time at Newmarket and in front of Dominus and Lorton the time before. Lincoln Park has been getting closer and is much respected but has been running over slightly longer trips this year. Typhoon Ten is relatively unexposed and his latest Windsor second was arguably a career best.
