MAKE HASTE can take a successful step into handicap company at the main expense of Midnight Chase and Snake Charmer. The Venetia Williams trained gelding was quite well backed at Warwick and ran on gamely to finish clear of the field in second. He was no match for the winner but handled the testing conditions well and shaped as though ready for a step up to this sort of trip. The trip will hold no fears for Midnight Chase who won impressively at Folkestone over an extended two miles six. His mark may well rise by more than the 7lb penalty that he carries and it's no surprise to see him turned out quickly. Snake Charmer narrowly missed out over two miles at this track last time having responded well to the fitting of blinkers. He should continue to pay his way and can get into the shake-up over this longer trip. This trip will provide a thorough test of Red Admiral's credentials but it could bring about further improvement from the unexposed Flow Gently Along whilst Danse Macabre has plenty of heavy ground form to his name at around this trip and shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. This promises to be quite competitive but Make Haste can prove up to the task.
