Verdict

Edward Elgar won just the once on the Flat but made a winning debut over timber in a similar race over this course and distance 10 days ago. He changed hands after the race but has every chance of a double if finding a little improvement. Haatefina was third in another track and trip seller last month while Announcement would have every chance on last season's form, though she was well behind Haatefina at Stratford in October. ORTHODOX LAD (NAP) drops into this grade for the first time and looks the form choice on his second at Warwick last month with Ciaran Gethings good value for his 5lb claim.
