Major Crispies and Baltic Brave are likely to be thereabouts again without being quite good enough. Kakatosi would have a chance on his best form while Ruban could get into the argument off bottom weight. Ice Lord was just beaten over this trip on his debut at Doncaster last October and won over 6f at Salisbury in July. He was taking on decent opposition at Newmarket last month and should find this easier but last year's winner TAKE A NOTE has plenty in his favour again, not least the fact that he's only 3lb higher. He looked to be coming to hand at Kempton last month and could stage a repeat. Provident Spirit didn't handle the soft going at Ripon last time and also warrants a second look.
