One of the most open races on the card here but preference with the aid of a pin goes to Mitrash ahead of Willy and Blackthorn. A leap of faith is needed in order to support Mitrash, but a case can be made for him running a big race at decent odds. He should appreciate both the step up in trip given the way he finished his race last time, and also the better ground today. The drop in grade will also suit and with a claiming jockey able to lighten the burden of top-weight by 6lbs, he should be capable of a place or better. Willy ruined his chance last time out by hanging to the right, but still ran well, whilst Perfect Punch should go well with conditions to suit but his strike rate is hardly exciting. Brilliant is not exactly living up to his name but could scrape a place, whilst Blackthorn steps back up in trip but whilst he loves the track, he is yet to win past two miles. At a price High Seasons could run into a place, however in a weak race, we'll take a chance on Mitrash.
