In depth

Verdict

Fox Appeal probably didn’t last home at Wincanton having finished second in one of these at Chepstow earlier. Emma Lavelle’s charge is back on a winning mark and unlikely to be far away but THE ROMFORD PELE was on his best behaviour on his first run for Tom George at Aintree and could be the one to beat again if in the same mood. Astracad has around 12 lengths to find but is 6lb better off. Grandads Horse may be best of the rest ahead of Sandown specialist Loose Chips and Masters Hill.
