BEAUTY PAGEANT could be well treated here and we'll take a chance that she is, with Boy The Bell and Pherousa also likely to feature. Ed McMahon's charge won readily last time to get off the mark and looks to have been found a winnable opportunity here. She's rated just 63 which seems fair, as she was previously beaten into second by a 74-rated horse and rates better than that bare form. Conditions are perfect and if the market speaks positively she could prove hard to beat. Boy The Bell remains a maiden but has been in good form all season and has been given a little assistance from the handicapper. Joseph Young's 7lb claim helps ease the burden further and there doesn't appear anything wrong with his attitude so a win should be around the corner. He's closely matched with Pherousa on their last meeting but has been frustrating of late and at revised weights that form could be reversed. Rathbawn Girl ran behind Decency last time so watch that one's run earlier on the card; she has conditions to suit and a pilot who appears to have a bright future. Miss Polly Plum has been a tad disappointing overall having failed to get off the mark so far and he best efforts have been at six while first-time blinkers need to bring The Two G's forward plenty, so in a race full of largely frustrating types we'll chance the progressive Beauty Pageant.
