Verdict

Jamie Codd's presence on Geological suggests the 10-times winner, running in Melbourne Racing's colours for the first time, will be up for this and he's been performing well all season. The owners are also represented by Florencio, who was odds-on when landing this a year ago under Lisa O'Neill but has a bit more to do this time. Koybig is another in good form though his best form is over a mile so the vote goes to another Melbourne Racing entry, BLACKLOOKS. Twice a winner in the UK, including on Tapeta at Wolverhampton, he hasn't been beaten far in huge fields at the Curragh the last twice and can get off the mark for Joseph O'Brien. War Hero, three times a winner at Dundalk, is another to consider in an open handicap.
