In depth

Verdict

Rocket Man's absence from this Grade 1 sprint should allow KRYPTON FACTOR to gain his second success at this level after a brilliant performance in the Golden Shaheen at Meydan. Kieren Fallon was in invincible form on the Bahrain-trained star in Dubai and has flown in to renew acquaintance. The one proviso is the ground as he's rarely started in such conditions but he's still improving and has to be the selection. Jane Chapple-Hyam sends 'Abbaye runner-up Secret Asset with George Baker on board and the seven-year-old won't mind the conditions. He did about as well as could be expected in the Al Quoz at Meydan but at least is drawn best of all and the journey shouldn't be wasted. Mick Halford's Invincible Ash was also behind in the Al Quoz having earned his place with a fine victory three weeks earlier. Captain Obvious beat Hitchens at Meydan in January and returned home early to be prepared for this.
