Verdict

Auckland has had a couple of runs on the Flat since landing a course and distance maiden but is 11lb higher than when runner-up in a Fairyhouse handicap earlier. Summer Tide had Cahirdown Boy just over a length behind when runner-up at Listowel but that was on testing ground and the latter, who had attempted to make all and only weakened close home, will be better suited by today's conditions. DARK SPARK (NAP) scored on the Flat on his reappearance in June then landed a Kilbeggan handicap before a fair run in a much stronger race at Bellewstown. He's still on the upgrade and can return to winning ways. Magnor Glory went up 14lb for a very easy Ballinrobe victory and struggled from his new mark in a much better race here in May.
