Verdict

Mia's Anthem had been threatening to win and did it in style when sent to Cartmel, though a massive rise in the weights tempers enthusiasm for a repeat. Bottle Rattler had been running poorly before a much-improved run at Killarney where he made Knockraha Prince pull out all the stops. He's only 3lb higher and looks capable of better so looks a threat to ABARTA, who looks the one to be on. He's won over fences and hurdles already this summer and, though not the most consistent of performers, he's due a big run and this looks his day. Tulsa Jack would be a threat if managing to stay on his feet but can hardly be trusted to do so.
