Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer and hunter THE BALER was made favourite for a similar handicap over the C&D last month and though running well he had no answer when Don't Stop Me Now quickened past at the last. He's only a five-year-old and with further progress likely can gain compensation. Pistol Jack has been running well without quite getting there though is expected to give a good account but after landing a handicap at Perth Adrianeo ran very poorly at Tramore and can surely do better. Carheenlea isn't the most reliable but a run over timber here a fortnight ago should have put him in the right frame of mind for this.
